About the Role
The role is a detail‑oriented, mid‑level Industrial Construction Estimator (Estimator V) within the Energy Business Line, supporting projects such as power plants, grid modernization, oil & gas, nuclear, solar, and battery storage, with remote flexibility across U.S. Energy offices. You will collaborate with project teams to develop budgets, value‑engineering options, and alternative construction approaches while ensuring estimate accuracy and alignment with execution plans, and you will lead estimate preparation, conduct reviews, and maintain historical documentation for future benchmarking. • Develop detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical components, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. • Calculate project indirect costs such as general conditions, management staff, temporary facilities, equipment, markups, and contingencies. • Analyze drawings, specifications, and site data to assess constructability and cost impacts. • Prepare quantity takeoffs using standard estimating software. • Generate crew build‑ups and production rates. • Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor quotes. • Create Work Breakdown Structures and estimate plans, basis of estimate, and qualifications. • Produce bid tabulations and respond to RFP requirements. • Compare current estimates with historical data and market benchmarks. • Supervise junior staff, set goals, and document performance.

What You Bring
The successful candidate holds a BA/BS in engineering or construction from an ABET‑accredited program, possesses at least eight years of estimating experience across civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines in industrial or heavy civil construction, and must be a U.S. citizen. • Hold a BA/BS in engineering or construction from an ABET‑accredited institution and 8+ years of relevant experience. • Demonstrated estimating experience in industrial, heavy civil, or large‑scale commercial construction. • Expertise in civil (earthwork, foundations, utilities), structural (steel, concrete), and mechanical (process piping, equipment) scopes. • Proficiency with estimating software such as Trimble WinEstimator, ACCE, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Sage, or On‑Screen Takeoff. • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications. • Knowledge of construction means and methods, cost drivers, labor productivity, and project controls. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency. • US citizenship is required.
