About the Role
Floor technicians perform stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting on various floor types, ensuring clean and safe environments for guests and staff. Key duties include performing preventative maintenance checks on equipment, securing work areas and posting safety notices, and executing routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, carpet extraction, wall cleaning, dusting, and restroom and office upkeep while maintaining the floor‑care equipment. • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. • Perform work assignments collaboratively with team members. • Maintain a clean work area and follow all company procedures. • Follow direction, respond to supervision, and communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers. • Fill in during staff shortages and support shift lead with punch‑list items. • Use proper personal protective equipment and present a professional appearance. • Build respectful relationships with teammates and guests; always put safety first. • Take direction from Facility Manager, Key Account Manager, or District Manager and coordinate activities with internal departments. • Attend and participate in team meetings. • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all equipment before use. • Secure work areas and post safety notices prior to work. • Conduct routine mopping, buffing, burnishing, vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and carpet extraction; clean walls, dust, restrooms, offices, and break rooms. • Maintain floor‑care equipment.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of floor‑care experience, and the ability to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal assistance. They should be proficient with equipment such as high‑speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto‑scrubbers, and possess strong teamwork and customer‑service skills. The job demands significant physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting 10‑50 lb, as well as pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 30 lb. Employees must handle repetitive tasks and work efficiently under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods. • Understand and prioritize customer service, satisfaction, and reporting systems. • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year floor‑care experience. • Ability to strip, wax, burnish floors and operate buffers, extractors, vacuums, pressure washers, and auto‑scrubbers. • Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting preferred; strong teamwork and exceptional customer service skills. • Required physical activity: standing, walking, climbing, stooping, lifting 10‑50 lb, pushing/pulling 30 lb, repetitive tasks; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
