About the Role

The Maintenance Technician role supports operation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties. Duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as packaging machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, grounds equipment, and HVAC; cleaning, lubricating, servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices; installing and modifying equipment; replacing finishes like ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, flooring; inspecting for unsafe conditions; and responding promptly to emergencies and service requests. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial building systems, machinery, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds equipment. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Install, modify, and replace building equipment and finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, paint, and flooring. • Perform inspections for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and conduct preventative maintenance. • Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests, including on‑call and overtime duties. • Operate and maintain fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related life‑safety equipment. • Conduct carpentry work and snow removal as required. • Use smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems for work orders. • Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and company safety policies; complete annual C&W safety training. • Maintain a neat appearance and comply with the C&W uniform dress code.

What You Bring

The technician must follow fire and life safety system procedures, perform carpentry and snow removal as needed, comply with codes, regulations, and company safety policies, and use technology (smartphones, tablets, computers, web applications, building automation systems). Completion of required C&W safety training and adherence to uniform dress code are expected. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of related experience in a commercial property setting, technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields, a valid driver’s license with a good record, and basic computer skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Key competencies are technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multi‑tasking, and sense of urgency. • Hold a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of commercial property maintenance experience. • Possess technical training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or related trades. • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; commercial license may be required. • Demonstrate basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. • Exhibit technical proficiency, initiative, flexibility, multi‑tasking ability, and a sense of urgency.
