About the Role
Job Summary – Responsibility for overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects of multiple cladding remediation projects, from initial investigations through design and procurement phases, on‑site execution, and final account settlement, ensuring each contract is completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with the contract and all required standards. The role will be contracted to Head Office in High Wycombe with occasional attendance for team meetings; day‑to‑day work can be a hybrid role based in a regional office. • Prepare and maintain budgets/cost plans using third‑party schedules or agreed rates. • Liaise with external consultants and attend design team meetings. • Collaborate with Technical Project Manager and Production Manager to evaluate design proposals and scopes of work. • Develop and issue detailed tender documents for each contract. • Review cost plans and tender returns to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and budgets. • Provide cost‑plan assurance to the Commercial Director and Director of Cladding Remediation. • Negotiate contracts with contractors to secure best terms, value for money, and quality. • Prepare contract documents defining scopes of work and requirements. • Manage contractor valuations, variation accounts, and maintain robust forecast final accounts. • Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with remediation works. • Process orders, payments, and variation orders for contractors and consultants. • Review, value, and certify payment applications, working with Finance to resolve issues. • Evaluate and value variations with Technical Project Manager and Production Manager, seeking approvals. • Monitor and evaluate contractor performance. • Collaborate with internal departments to improve cost‑effectiveness and project viability. • Ensure compliance with specifications, programmes, and quality standards. • Oversee and mentor direct reports. • Support legal processes to recover costs from original contractors.

What You Bring
Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements – Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements; experience of high‑rise construction and cladding remediation; industry‑related business qualification; ability to manage internal and external clients; IT literate (COINS preferred). • Adhere to the Taylor Wimpey Commercial Manual and Operating Framework.
