About the Role
Interns in the Quality Billing team work with limited supervision to perform quality billing functions, develop automation tools, and support the Billing and Vendor Payables groups while gaining practical experience related to their field of study. • Develop automation tools using Python, SQL, VBA, and APIs. • Enhance and maintain existing Python programs and related scripts. • Gather stakeholder requirements and iteratively build user‑accepted solutions. • Design tools that are easy to maintain and extend over time. • Diagnose and resolve bugs in code and queries promptly. • Write documentation for new and existing automation processes. • Track and resolve issues across departments, ensuring timely closure. • Monitor workflow to meet project deadlines and daily work requirements. • Participate in special and cross‑functional projects as needed. • Evaluate risks when implementing new or changed processes. • Apply a standard software development lifecycle and use tracking software to log progress.

What You Bring
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Required skills include beginner‑to‑intermediate Python and SQL, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and strong verbal and written communication. Success in the role requires problem‑solving ability, adaptability to change, teamwork, and the capacity to write clear, well‑commented code that supports future enhancements and easy bug fixing. • Demonstrate beginner‑to‑intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL, Excel competence, and excellent communication skills.
