Job Highlights
About the Role
• Lead design and optimization of electrical power distribution and control systems for mining and heavy‑industrial projects. • Produce specifications, datasheets, and design documentation for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and related equipment. • Perform power system studies (load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash) using ETAP or EasyPower and incorporate safety and regulatory compliance. • Develop electrical distribution, motor control, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, and cable support designs. • Conduct site visits, field verifications, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team technical capability.

What You Bring
• Hold a P.Eng licence in BC with 5+ years of electrical design experience on heavy‑industrial projects. • Proficient in CSA/ANSI/IEEE standards and power‑system modelling software; capable of designing grounding, lightning, fire‑alarm, heat‑tracing and cathodic‑protection systems. • Experience with industrial site safety, driver’s licence, strong written communication, and collaborative teamwork; French language skills are a plus.
