About the Role
In this role, you will independently develop and supervise engineering products, defining problems, establishing work scope, preparing budgets and schedules, and providing technical direction. Deliverables may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and analyses. An Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and progression toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license are preferred, as is proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, and other engineering software. Strong communication skills and experience with NCDOT/SCDOT highway design projects are advantageous. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of highway geometric design experience. • Obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and be on the PE track; proficient in MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads. • Preferred experience with NCDOT/SCDOT highway projects; strong communication skills.
