About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ITS Maintenance Project Engineer to join our team in Victoria. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of contract obligations, fault management, and maintenance programs for ITS assets. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive operational efficiency and innovation. Downer plans, creates and sustains infrastructure across Australia and New Zealand. As the leading provider of integrated services, we work closely with customers to design, build and maintain assets, road networks and facilities, leveraging trans‑Tasman capabilities to deliver the best technical solutions for our communities. • Manage contract deliverables including KRAs, reporting, fault monitoring, and preventative maintenance. • Oversee fault management processes and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. • Prepare and submit progress claims, track costs, and manage purchase orders. • Lead scheduling and resource planning in collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor. • Conduct subcontractor audits and ensure compliance with Downer standards. • Drive innovation and efficiency initiatives internally and with clients. • Maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings and engagement. • Ensure adherence to Zero Harm principles, including safety audits and incident reporting. • Make a real impact on the performance and sustainability of critical infrastructure.

What You Bring
• Tertiary Civil or Electrical Engineering degree. • Experience in ITS or infrastructure maintenance projects. • Knowledge and understanding of VicRoads specifications. • Exposure to the preparation of project budgets and review of financial information to make sound business decisions. • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecasts. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Tool of Trade vehicle provided.
