About the Role
• Develop work plans and man‑hour budgets for department approval. • Monitor project schedules and capital cost budgets to meet client and productivity goals. • Produce accurate advanced engineering designs and technical data. • Lead quality control/quality assurance for all assigned projects. • Oversee project work and productivity, ensuring profit, schedule, and deliverable targets. • Participate in proposal development and provide marketing/business development support. • Define project teams, work packages, tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedules, and staffing requirements. • Conduct team meetings and ensure adherence to review and approval procedures before submission. • Negotiate scope changes with clients, subject to supervisor approval. • Coordinate communication among project staff to maintain high utilization rates. • Review monthly man‑hour and cost reports to verify project performance against goals. • Enforce project planning and profit‑control procedures across the team. • Discuss any scope revisions affecting schedule or budget with the client. • Seek assistance from department managers to resolve technical issues. • Collaborate with the Billing Department to authorize invoices and follow up for timely payments. • Mentor junior staff on technical and business practices.

This role offers the chance to lead public infrastructure projects—from roadway and utility improvements to stormwater systems and municipal facility upgrades—while collaborating with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions. • Minimum 8 + years of municipal engineering experience. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; professional license preferred. • Broad knowledge of municipal capital project design, stormwater, utilities, cost estimating, construction administration, and land use. • In‑depth understanding of regional regulatory permitting processes. • Ability to manage multiple projects and staff concurrently. • Proven client management and business development track record. • Experience preparing proposals, budgets, and financial management of teams. • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation for this position ranges from $106,155 to $153,930 per year, depending on qualifications.
