About the Role
The role oversees day‑to‑day site activities, coordinates construction to meet schedule and budget, ensures safety, quality, and compliance, and maintains strong client relationships while enhancing ESD’s reputation. Galliford Try welcomes flexible working arrangements, supports diversity and inclusion, and encourages applicants who may not meet every listed criterion to apply. • Promote exceptional safety and deliver quality standards at all times • Coordinate and control construction activities to stay on schedule and budget • Manage day‑to‑day site operations, supervise staff, prepare RAMS and ensure compliance • Order and supply plant and materials as required • Check drawings and quantities for accuracy • Maintain good client relationships at all levels • Comply with the Customer Impact Plan continuously • Enhance ESD’s reputation throughout the project • Implement the BMS at all project stages • Plan, organise and monitor activities to meet safety, time and quality requirements • Report and resolve all site non‑conformities • Proactively manage cost aspects and maintain controls • Preserve confidentiality of sensitive information

What You Bring

Galliford Try Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer for its ESD Joint Venture in Lockerbie, initially working on the Black Esk WTW and other high‑value Scottish water projects. The ideal candidate holds an HND or equivalent in engineering/project management, has construction or engineering experience (preferably water), a proven delivery record, IOSH/SMSTS certification, a CSCS card, and strong IT and communication skills. • Hold an HND or equivalent in engineering/project management • Possess construction/engineering experience, ideally in the water sector • Demonstrate a track record of delivering within agreed parameters • Hold IOSH or SMSTS safety management certification • Possess a valid CSCS card • Exhibit excellent IT, verbal and communication skills
