About the Role
The Principal Consultant will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality consulting and design services for a variety of sectors. This remote, work‑from‑home role requires active participation in multiple concurrent projects, ensuring technical accuracy, on‑time delivery, and client satisfaction, while also spearheading business development to grow the practice in the assigned region. • Serve as executive liaison between NV5 and owners, architects, and design team members. • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing strategic insight and innovative technology solutions. • Drive business development in the designated geographic region, identifying and pursuing new opportunities. • Develop and negotiate proposals, scopes of work, and fee agreements with clients. • Author strategic technology plans and programming documents. • Facilitate client discussions to define project goals, functional requirements, and performance expectations. • Guide clients in technology selection to ensure cost‑effective, user‑centric solutions. • Oversee integration of audiovisual systems into architectural designs, coordinating with architects and engineers. • Manage project deliverables including drawings, specifications, coordination meetings, submittal reviews, and site inspections. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet NV5’s quality standards.

What You Bring
• Minimum of 10 years of technology consulting experience. • Established or developable relationships within the regional architectural community. • Deep expertise in audiovisual system design and implementation, including projection, sound reinforcement, conferencing, signal processing, and control systems. • Strong understanding of architectural requirements for audiovisual systems such as sightlines, structural supports, cabling pathways, and equipment integration. • General knowledge of IT infrastructure, digital media delivery, and network architecture. • Proven business development experience in professional services. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a collaborative, positive work approach. • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and BlueBeam. • Preferred certifications: CTS, CTS‑D, CTS‑I, RCDD, or other relevant industry credentials.

Benefits
Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, adjusted for knowledge, skills, and experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package such as medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k), and professional development opportunities. The position may involve occasional overnight travel and frequent navigation of construction sites.
