About the Role
The estimator will support the pre‑bid, bid, and post‑bid phases, collaborating with management to assess project suitability, preparing scope letters and bid documents, maintaining a vendor/subcontractor database, and evaluating bids. Post‑award responsibilities include attending kickoff meetings, assisting with equipment buyouts, change‑order pricing, and archiving information for future estimates. • Read, understand, and analyze blueprints and specifications quickly and accurately. • Conduct pre‑bid activities: assess project fit, prepare scope letters and bid forms. • Maintain vendor/subcontractor database and evaluate bid submissions. • Obtain pre‑qualification data from subcontractors. • Lead kickoff meetings for awarded projects and manage equipment buyouts. • Assist project managers with change‑order pricing and review. • Archive project data for future estimating use.

What You Bring
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States, possess a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and pass a drug test. Strong English proficiency, expert math skills, and at least ten years of HVAC and plumbing estimating experience are required. • Pass a drug test and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Hold a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and proficient English. • Demonstrate expert math skills with 10+ years estimating HVAC and plumbing projects.
