Job Highlights
About the Role
• Oversee construction projects to meet design, budget, and schedule targets. • Coordinate with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to ensure satisfaction. • Plan, supervise, and direct operations staff on assigned projects. • Update weekly project schedules and conduct site visits for progress monitoring. • Resolve construction disputes through negotiation. • Manage bid projects, including P&L responsibility and fleet assets. • Ensure timely internal reporting and submit weekly revenue, cost, and invoicing reports. • Address accounts receivable older than 51 days. • Enforce company, client, and project policies and interpret standards as needed. • Promote understanding of corporate and industry practices impacting projects. • Support safety program implementation and liaise with estimating for cost and schedule compliance. • Review material, equipment, and cost estimates for accuracy. • Prepare status reports, schedule modifications, and variance analyses. • Analyze project budgets and profitability percentages. • Supervise 3‑10 supervisors, handling training, performance appraisal, discipline, and problem resolution.

What You Bring
The Electrical Utility Distribution Operations Manager oversees administrative and technical aspects of projects and directs field operations through subordinate managers, collaborating with customers, senior leaders, and cross‑functional personnel. Candidates must possess electrical utility distribution experience with supervisory background in the same industry. The role operates primarily in an office setting with standard equipment, but requires occasional site visits, lifting up to 50 lb, and occasional filing or bending. It is predominantly sedentary with some physical activity. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of electrical utility distribution experience (overhead and underground) with supervisory background. • Preferred: 8+ years of related experience and significant supervisory responsibility. • OSHA 10 certification preferred. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb.
