About the Role

The incumbent will oversee data collection, design review, and compliance with codes and standards; coordinate and approve electrical infrastructure plans for mid‑level to complex projects; apply advanced engineering techniques across concept development, design, procurement, construction, and operation; and manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, including rehabilitation and reconstruction. The role includes leading larger‑scale engineering projects, mentoring staff, developing a client base, ensuring high‑quality technical reports and presentations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory entities while adhering to WSP’s code of conduct. • Provide technical guidance for electrical system design (lighting, controls, fire alarm, power distribution) across healthcare, life‑science, industrial, and commercial projects. • Collect, compile, and analyze site data, surveys, blueprints, GIS, and equipment specifications for procurement and design compliance. • Review, coordinate, and approve electrical infrastructure designs ensuring adherence to codes, ordinances, IEEE, NESC, ANSI, NCEC, and NERC standards. • Apply advanced engineering methods to improve project phases from concept through operation. • Conduct investigations and inspections of site conditions, substation layouts, grounding grids, and lightning protection. • Develop construction plans, specifications, and update infrastructure layouts in coordination with owners, consultants, and clients. • Lead and manage design and construction of electrical infrastructure projects, including rehabilitation and reconstruction. • Oversee engineering review of permits, design plans, standby plans, contracts, and construction inspections for regulatory compliance. • Prepare technical reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. • Mentor and manage engineering staff, supporting their professional development. • Build and maintain a client base, identifying business development opportunities. • Ensure compliance with WSP’s Code of Conduct and ethical use of company resources.

What You Bring

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience. • Possess an active Engineer license (multi‑state preferred) and proficiency in electrical engineering principles, infrastructure design, and relevant codes. • Demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities. • Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering.
