About the Role
The role provides expertise in planning, directing, and performing internal audit projects while understanding the business and leadership structure. It involves assessing organizational risk, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and evaluating operational efficiency and effectiveness. The auditor also consults with management on auditing company assets and accounting controls to ensure policy and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include performing financial, operational, contract, special investigation, and compliance audits, and coordinating testing of key financial reporting controls for Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. The auditor develops risk assessments, audit objectives, scopes, and programs for assigned business areas, participates in risk assessment processes, and ensures audit plans cover higher‑risk areas. They also build and maintain relationships with audit clients, serve as the primary contact, advise staff and contractors, and lead departmental goals, special projects, and process‑improvement initiatives. • Perform financial, operational, contract, special investigation, and compliance audits. • Coordinate testing of key financial reporting controls for Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. • Develop audit risk assessments, objectives, scopes, and programs for assigned business areas. • Participate in risk assessment processes and ensure audit plans address high‑risk areas. • Provide consultative services and maintain relationships with audit clients across multiple units. • Advise staff and contractors on audit issues and guide development of recommendations. • Lead departmental goals, special projects, and identify process improvements and best practices.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications vary by level: Senior Auditors need a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field, a CIA (or willingness to obtain CIA/CPA within two years), and at least three years of relevant experience. Audit Consultants must hold a CIA, CPA, or similar credential, possess six years of experience, and demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills. Senior Audit Consultants require a bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field, CPA/CIA/CISA certification, and eight years of experience, with advanced expertise in specialized areas. All levels require proficiency with data‑analytics tools (e.g., SAP) and up to 20% domestic travel. • Senior Auditor: Bachelor’s degree, CIA (or willingness to obtain), 3+ years experience. • Audit Consultant: Bachelor’s degree, CIA/CPA, 6+ years experience, strong communication skills. • Senior Audit Consultant: Bachelor’s in technical/business field, CPA/CIA/CISA, 8+ years experience. • Proficiency with data‑analytics tools such as SAP; ability to travel up to 20% domestically.
