About the Role
The Health, Safety & Wellness Coordinator reports to the Director of Wellness and supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of BGIS’s health, safety, and well‑being strategic framework. The role promotes healthy and safe lifestyles by fostering a positive workplace culture at both the individual and organizational levels. Key duties include creating health promotion and HSE communications, coordinating internal tools such as SharePoint, and responding to employee inquiries. The Coordinator organizes and facilitates virtual and in‑person well‑being sessions, delivers training (including suicide prevention and Mental Health First Aid), and acts as the primary contact for wellness‑related questions. Program leadership responsibilities involve championing BGIS Balance initiatives, mentoring wellness placement students, and ensuring wellness strategies are embedded into operations. The Coordinator also develops metrics, tracks program effectiveness, approves monthly fitness reimbursements, and collaborates with global teams on surveys, challenges, and wellness weeks. • Create health promotion, mental health, and HSE communications including newsletters, social media posts, and toolbox talks. • Coordinate and maintain the internal SharePoint intranet site. • Organize and facilitate virtual and in‑person well‑being sessions and continuing education programs. • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions about the wellness program. • Plan, logistically manage, and deliver training such as suicide prevention and Mental Health First Aid. • Lead and promote BGIS Balance initiatives and act as a change agent to embed wellness into workplace culture. • Mentor wellness placement students and foster partnerships across regional BGIS teams. • Develop metrics, track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of wellness programs. • Approve monthly fitness reimbursements and generate payroll reports. • Conduct research on health and wellness trends, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

What You Bring
The role requires a university degree in health sciences, kinesiology, psychology, or a related field, with a post‑graduate certificate in workplace wellness or health promotion strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, knowledge of health and risk management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs.

Benefits
This is a full‑time, regular position with a salary range of $47,118‑$58,897 per annum, based on experience and competencies.
