About the Role
• Create electrical drawings for facilities across markets (water/wastewater, municipal, industrial, power, federal) covering power distribution, lighting, communications, and security systems. • Support and coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams. • Perform basic electrical calculations and develop layout plans and power one‑line diagrams. • Assist Project Engineers, Electrical EITs, and BIM Specialists as needed.

What You Bring
HDR is seeking an Electrical Intern for our East Region Design Center in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC. The intern will work with talented staff in one of the fastest‑growing and most critical segments of HDR, and must be self‑motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering high‑quality, technically sound electrical designs. • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program, with at least two years completed and a 3.0+ GPA. • Demonstrate proficiency with Revit and related office experience. • Show strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Possess basic Microsoft Office abilities.
