About the Role

The position is located in Walnut Creek, CA, within the Bay Area Main division. It is a regular, experienced finance role classified as salaried non‑exempt. The incumbent will provide administrative and financial services to a profit center and reports to the Senior Accountant or Financial Manager, Finance Reporting HQ. The employee will regularly work on‑site at construction locations, where they may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, weather conditions, and electrical hazards. Noise levels range from moderate to very loud. • Assist accountant to ensure client contractual billing and accounts receivable requirements are met. • Support auditing of client billing and project ledger in compliance with contracts, GAAP, and company policy. • Process vendor invoices payable and keep accounts current for assigned projects. • Process subcontractor invoices, ensuring lien waivers, contracts, and insurance requirements are in place. • Help complete the monthly close by posting or accruing client bills and project costs. • Provide monthly updates on project assets and rentals for insurance documentation. • Assist with project financial closeout, confirming final contract amounts and required documentation. • Handle internal and external audit requests. • Research problems, resolve issues, escalate promptly, learn quickly, and meet deadlines. • Follow established procedures and execute directions without needing follow‑up.

What You Bring

The role requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, using construction personnel hoists, and handling heavy objects. It also demands specific vision capabilities including close, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and experience. • General knowledge of basic accounting principles. • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, maintain accuracy, and self‑check work. • Able to work independently with some oversight and in a team environment. • Demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, dependability, adaptability, cooperation, and motivation. • Professional written and verbal communication abilities and general office skills. • Proficient data entry, databases, and MS Office applications.

Benefits
