About the Role

• Evaluate new tools and technology and support company‑wide implementation • Develop and propose piloting and testing plans for new tools, documenting procedures • Support implementation and advancement of Mortenson’s Planning and Scheduling training program • Maintain and upgrade current Planning and Scheduling technology • Test tools and support version upgrades in collaboration with ITS • Coordinate visual analytics development, including data capture, transfer, normalization, and automation • Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

What You Bring

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Planning & Scheduling Specialist for its headquarters team. The specialist will evaluate and support the implementation of new planning technologies, maintain existing scheduling tools, and lead visual analytics and automation development. The role requires strong construction scheduling knowledge, analytical problem‑solving skills, and cross‑functional collaboration. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, as sponsorship is not provided for this role. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred) • Minimum 5 years of related experience • Commercial construction industry experience (preferred) • Experience with Power BI or Asta Powerproject (preferred) • Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices and company software • Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing • Proven creativity and mature judgment in solving complex problems • Basic knowledge of project management, buyout and contracts • Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies • Basic knowledge of cost and resource‑loaded schedules • Ability to work in a cross‑functional, collaborative, team‑based environment • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions • Active listening and effective communication, open to diverse input and feedback • Ability to travel up to 20 %

Base pay ranges from $107,200 to $160,800, with higher ranges for locations like Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
