About the Role

The Valuation M&A and Strategic Ventures Senior Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting Equinix’s growth strategy by acting as the financial valuation engine within the M&A Finance team. This position involves developing and operating valuation models, conducting financial due diligence, and providing the analytical rigor needed for strategic investment decisions. The analyst will develop, maintain, and audit operating and valuation models for potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic ventures, translating strategic assumptions into financial inputs and outputs. They will also perform scenario analyses, coordinate financial due diligence, assess risks, review transaction documents, and maintain market intelligence and pipeline databases, while supporting executive communications and continuous process improvement. • Develop, maintain, and audit DCF, EPS, and ROIC valuation models for acquisitions and strategic ventures. • Translate strategic assumptions into cash models that justify transaction rationales. • Conduct scenario and financing analyses to compare build‑vs‑buy and partnership options. • Coordinate financial due diligence, including Quality of Earnings, Net Debt, and Working Capital analyses. • Quantify and incorporate diligence findings into financial models and assess associated risks. • Review SPA/APA documents, focusing on financial representations, warranties, indemnities, and closing mechanisms. • Analyze market trends, deal activity, and trading multiples within digital infrastructure sectors. • Maintain a comprehensive database of transaction comparables and global M&A pipeline information. • Prepare executive‑level materials for Investment Committee and Board presentations. • Contribute to the M&A & Strategic Ventures Playbook by standardizing tools, diligence lists, and valuation frameworks. • Support post‑close reviews to compare actual results against plan and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, or corporate development, and hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative field. Technical mastery of advanced Excel (including macros) is required, while Python programming, AI automation concepts, strong US GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication skills are preferred. • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex modeling and macro development. • Preferred: Python for data analysis and automation, familiarity with AI agents. • Strong understanding of US GAAP and ability to assess impacts of NWC and debt‑like items on valuation. • High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple live deals, and strong written communication for executives.

The targeted base salary range is $90,000‑$136,000, with eligibility for bonuses and potential equity awards.
