About the Role
Reporting to the Site Operations and Maintenance Supervisor, the Pinkenba Terminal Operator assists in managing and controlling the safe, efficient running of the terminal. The role involves day‑to‑day terminal, shipping and pipeline operations, contractor coordination, and leadership of health, safety, security and environmental initiatives while identifying and controlling hazards. • Manage product receipts from ships and pipelines. • Conduct product quality testing and related activities. • Perform routine inspections of site equipment. • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols for regulatory compliance. • Operate and monitor tanks, pipelines, pumps, instrumentation and PLC control systems. • Communicate with team members to plan and safely execute weekly activities. • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions and emergency response drills. • Complete daily administrative tasks such as stock recording. • Issue safe work permits to contractors for maintenance activities.

What You Bring
Training is provided on all fuel terminal and shipping procedures, and after two years the operator is expected to achieve full competence, working on a 24/7 rotating shift roster. The position requires a forklift licence, MSIC, a current driver’s licence and passes pre‑employment medical, security clearance and ongoing random drug and alcohol assessments. • Previous experience in a similar role or process background. • Trades or mechanical aptitude. • Understanding of permit‑to‑work systems. • Strong communication skills with a positive outlook. • Problem‑solving ability. • Reliable, trustworthy with strong HSSE commitment. • Hold a forklift licence and MSIC. • Current driver’s licence.
