About the Role
The firm is hiring an Associate Director of Risk Management for its New York City or Washington D.C. offices, with remote flexibility and occasional client visits. Reporting to the Project Controls team, the role develops and oversees risk plans that identify, assess, quantify and mitigate project, programme and strategic risks to help clients achieve their objectives. • Establish and maintain a Risk Management Framework, including strategy, methodology, and tools. • Apply quantitative risk analysis techniques and build models using appropriate software. • Lead technical delivery of complex projects and provide risk‑focused solutions. • Conduct risk evaluation processes: identification, qualification, quantification, and mitigation planning. • Monitor and update the Project Risk Register, measuring the effectiveness of mitigations. • Identify efficiency opportunities to reduce schedule, lower costs, and improve stakeholder collaboration. • Create Monte Carlo simulations to determine cost and schedule contingency allowances. • Quantify potential cost and schedule impacts of risk and change in coordination with project teams. • Facilitate risk workshops and ensure participant understanding of roles and responsibilities. • Build and maintain diplomatic relationships with diverse personalities while preserving independence. • Communicate findings through clear, persuasive written and oral reports. • Uphold workplace safety and adhere to Turner & Townsend’s policies and Code of Conduct. • Travel as required to support project sites and clients.

What You Bring
• Hold a degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline (or 18 years relevant experience). • Possess 12+ years of risk management experience in major project environments. • Expertly use Excel, @RISK (QCRA) and Primavera Risk Analysis (QSRA). • Demonstrate self‑starting attitude, strong organization, analytical, and multitasking abilities. • Preferred: knowledge of FTA OP40c, rail infrastructure experience, prior risk‑manager roles, PMP or similar certification.
