About the Role

The Digital Research, Engineering, Acquisition, and Materiel Management (DREAMM) Team delivers comprehensive systems engineering, digital engineering, Model Based Systems Engineering, modeling & simulation, data analysis, DevSecOps, technical solutions, and training for DoD customers, supporting their digital transformation journey from strategy to implementation. As a Junior Model Based Systems Engineer you will support Air Force Material Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, and other DoD programs by analyzing system requirements and capabilities to build, deliver, and maintain MBSE models that inform acquisition, sustainment, and support. • Apply MBSE methods for requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, system design, trade studies, integration, verification, validation, and interface definition. • Create and maintain Government Reference Architecture and system specifications within MBSE models. • Update MBSE models to reflect acquisition strategies and support transition from traditional DoD documents. • Develop system CONOPS, architecture, and interface definitions in a model‑based environment. • Support migration of engineering data packages to reusable model‑based artifacts. • Manage model configuration and data according to project standards. • Conduct walkthroughs and formal reviews of requirements and architecture models. • Collaborate with engineering leads and domain SMEs to tailor MBSE efforts to scope, cost, and schedule constraints. • Translate document‑based processes into model‑based deliverables and train others on MBSE tools.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include a technical BS degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM discipline and the ability to obtain Secret and Top Secret/SCI clearance. Desired qualifications include MBSE coursework, experience developing models of requirements, architecture, and interfaces using tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody, and knowledge of systems engineering principles and Air Force acquisition processes. • Work on‑site with minimal travel (0‑20%) during standard working hours. • Minimum: BS in Systems Engineering or related STEM field; ability to obtain Secret and TS/SCI clearance. • Desired: MBSE coursework, experience using Cameo, MagicDraw, or Rhapsody, and knowledge of Air Force acquisition processes.
