About the Role

The entry‑level Rock Tools Technician role supports rock‑tools contracts by guiding correct tool usage, managing product distribution, and serving as a launchpad for a career in the mining industry, even for candidates with little or no prior experience. • Manage rock‑tools inventory, tracking issues, discards, and losses. • Repair and maintain rock‑tools to defined specifications. • Deliver rock‑tools products to customers. • Utilize the Rock Tools Management System for performance monitoring and reporting. • Troubleshoot tools and provide technical recommendations to supervisors and sales representatives. • Report instances of improper tool usage or selection. • Complete accurate time, technical, and failure reports. • Build relationships with internal teams and external customers to ensure smooth operations. • Perform daily and weekly stock counts. • Comply with safety policies, regulations, and industry standards. • Identify and report unsafe work habits, incidents, and near‑misses. • Conduct risk assessments ("Take Five") before each task. • Maintain hand tools and equipment for safe operation. • Keep work area orderly and meet housekeeping requirements.

What You Bring

• Attend environmental, health, and safety training and wear required PPE. • Completion of secondary school (high school). • Knowledge or experience with mining or construction equipment (asset). • Familiarity with Sandvik products (asset). • Ability to work as part of an integrated team. • Detail‑oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills. • Flexible, self‑motivated and able to demonstrate initiative. • Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office. • Valid full‑G driver’s license in good standing. • Willingness to work varied shifts as required.
