About the Role
The technical marketing engineer for Mission Critical Telecommunication Solutions (MCS) has global responsibility to enable pre‑sales and sales communities across regional hubs to understand technical market requirements for wired telecommunication networks and ensure customer interaction in line with global solution/product strategy. You will support sales organizations by applying technical expertise and provide relevant customer and market inputs to product management and R&D to ensure market alignment and relevance. You will support global projects by adapting HVDC Control & Protection Software (MACH) and develop control and protection functions/solutions for future HVDC technologies. You will resolve issues related to control and protection functions, coordinate with stakeholders across business units to optimize HVDC solutions, and participate in the factory system test environment. You will ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines while living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity. • Enable pre‑sales and sales teams globally to understand wired telecom market requirements. • Provide technical expertise to support sales and drive revenue. • Supply customer and market insights to product management and R&D. • Adapt and enhance HVDC Control & Protection Software (MACH) for global projects. • Develop control and protection functions for future HVDC technologies. • Resolve control and protection issues and coordinate stakeholder inputs to optimize solutions. • Participate in factory system test environment and ensure regulatory compliance. • Work on‑site in Chennai, full‑time.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics and 3‑6 years of experience in control and protection systems is required. Candidates should have basic knowledge of MATLAB or other simulation software, familiarity with IEEE/IEC standards, and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with HVDC systems, digital signal processing, analog and digital circuits, technical tender support, substation environments, and protection applications is preferred. The role demands a self‑starter attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Hold a B.E. in Electrical/Electronics with 3‑6 years of control and protection experience. • Proficient in MATLAB (or similar), IEEE/IEC standards, and MS Office. • Preferred experience: HVDC systems, DSP, analog/digital circuits, tender support, substation protection. • Demonstrate self‑starter attitude, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
