About the Role

The Machine Operator I is an entry‑level position that supports daily production by operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment under close supervision. The role assists with loading programs, preparing machines, and performing basic maintenance to ensure consistent and efficient operation. Success requires attention to detail and a willingness to learn. The position contributes to AAON’s production goals by maintaining quality standards, minimizing downtime, and following established safety procedures. Operators work collaboratively with teammates to meet production targets while keeping the work area clean and organized. • Load production files and prepare machines according to instructions. • Set up and adjust equipment for daily production runs. • Monitor machine performance and report issues to supervisors. • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and consistency. • Keep work area and equipment clean and organized. • Replenish materials and consumables needed for machine operation. • Collaborate with other operators and team members to meet production targets. • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE. • Document basic production data and support continuous improvement. • Lift and move objects up to 50 lb; stand, bend, kneel, and repeat motions throughout shift. • Respond to visual and auditory machine indicators. • Work in an indoor manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and chemical fumes; wear safety glasses, masks, gloves, and steel‑toed boots.
