About the Role
As a Deputy Construction Program Manager in Nashville, you will lead a project team, strengthen partnerships with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), and help deliver infrastructure projects that shape the region's future. In addition to overseeing project delivery, you will support the Area CEI Service Leader and Field Office Principal in expanding the Construction Services program and achieving measurable goals. • Provide engineering expertise and management oversight for the development and construction of quality projects • Prepare project budgets and schedules • Manage personnel matters, workload, consultant contracts, and engineering practices to support client delivery • Plan, prepare, analyze documents, and manage construction contracts • Forecast and track fiscal budget and cash flow for workforce, facilities, vehicles, equipment, and resources for highway projects • Assist crafts, disciplines, and subcontractors in executing their work • Coordinate and manage project quality assurance, control, and inspection services • Coordinate and manage survey and layout work in the field

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, a professional engineering license, and at least ten years of experience in construction estimating, bidding, scheduling, and field engineering. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, estimating and scheduling software, and web‑based collaboration tools is essential, as are strong verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture. • Road and bridge construction experience highly desired • Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) experience preferred • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field • 10 years of experience in estimating, bidding, purchase orders, subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering • Professional engineering license (e.g., PE or P.Eng) required • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web‑based collaboration tools • Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
