About the Role

In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for commission‑related inquiries, applying the Autodesk Sales Compensation Plan and collaborating with finance and sales stakeholders. Responsibilities include calculating and disbursing variable earnings, delivering timely analyses of attainment, and communicating complex commission logic to the sales force. You will maintain commission tools, ensure data integrity across the sales hierarchy, and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency. Participation in user acceptance testing and other GCO projects will be required, as will adherence to SOx compliance and audit standards. • Understand and implement the Autodesk Sales Compensation Plan; apply policy and raise exceptions for guidance • Calculate, validate and pay variable earnings accurately and on time for assigned sales teams based on Forma SPM reporting • Support rollout of changes to the commissions system • Provide monthly attainment analysis, investigate variances, and proactively raise outliers with FBP’s • Deliver high‑quality, timely responses to sales field and management, translating complex logic into understandable terms • Participate in creation of crediting rules and Territory Target Sheets; may lead crediting rules for the team • Maintain SOx compliance documentation and ensure auditability • Maintain commission tools, reference data, employee information, and sales hierarchy for accurate payments and reports • Provide feedback for ongoing process improvement and may lead improvement initiatives • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and other GCO projects • Question existing processes to identify improvement opportunities and apply judgment consistently • Work autonomously while meeting deadlines, escalating issues to management as needed • Adjust work schedule to accommodate infrequent meetings across different geographies • Provide customer‑service‑oriented support, helping sales reps and management resolve commission issues

The Commission Analyst role at Autodesk seeks a detail‑oriented, goal‑driven professional who learns quickly, adapts to change, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication, analytical ability, urgency, and a proactive, creative mindset are essential. The analyst will join a global commission team that supports sales organizations by managing end‑to‑end commission processes. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience) and possess at least two years of progressive experience in a mid‑to‑large public company, preferably with sales commission exposure. Advanced Excel skills are required, and familiarity with Business Objects, PowerBI, Cognos/Varicent or similar platforms is a plus. • Multitask and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience • Two or more years of progressive experience in a mid‑to‑large public company, preferably with sales commission knowledge • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with Business Objects, PowerBI, Cognos/Varicent or other commissions platforms (preferred)
