About the Role

The Driver – CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a waste collection truck, delivering prompt and courteous waste removal services, and ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards before each shift. This role also requires adherence to all Company, state, and federal regulations and the daily completion of vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reporting any safety concerns. Drivers must follow the assigned route sheet, load and compact refuse, transport it to disposal sites, and interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. Additional responsibilities involve tagging unsatisfactory waste containers, monitoring waste for prohibited materials, cleaning accidental spills, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and completing required productivity and reporting documentation. Drivers are expected to meet productivity standards, follow safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and exhibit strong customer service, time‑management, and reliability.
