Senior Planning Manager

About the Role

In this role you will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance and foster inclusive environments, while driving delivery excellence that aligns planning and performance with client vision and business objectives. You will uphold integrity through strategic development, due diligence, and sustainable outcomes, and create opportunity by encouraging collaboration, innovation, and knowledge‑sharing. The position also requires managing all aspects of project controls—including planning, scheduling, cost control, change, risk, and reporting—coordinating with PMCM leadership and client teams, partnering with cost consultants on budgets and forecasts, and supporting value engineering using global standards adapted to local Qatar practices. • Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance across all projects. • Drive delivery excellence by aligning plans with client vision and business goals. • Manage project controls: planning, scheduling, cost control, change, risk, and reporting. • Coordinate with PMCM leadership and client teams to align controls with strategy and KPIs. • Partner with cost consultants on budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost performance indices. • Support value engineering and apply global standards to local Qatar practices.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or quantity surveying from an accredited university and possess 15–20 years of experience in project controls and program delivery oversight. This includes at least seven years in a project/program controls leadership role within a PMCM/PMC or engineering consultancy environment, five or more years of GCC experience on mega‑projects, and a proven ability to manage integrated controls for projects exceeding QAR 1 billion. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and familiarity with international project control standards and local Qatar practices are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or quantity surveying. • Bring 15–20 years of project controls experience, including 7+ years in a leadership role. • Possess at least 5 years of GCC experience on mega projects. • Demonstrate experience managing controls for projects valued over QAR 1 billion. • Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project; familiar with international standards and Qatar practices.
