Data Analyst - Construction
Analyze construction data, support Power BI, manage budgets and cashflow dashboards

About the Role
The role focuses on data analysis to identify differences between data sets and validate results, while supporting Power BI models that enable KPI tracking. The analyst will work closely with cross‑functional partners to facilitate the issuance and amendment of purchase orders, and act as a liaison between senior cost managers and finance to report accruals and prepaid invoices. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining cash‑flow dashboards, compiling data for project buyout analytics, providing weekly updates on minor project budgets, and maintaining market data on construction material costs for buyout evaluations. Where applicable, the analyst will also adhere to SOX control requirements. • Analyze and validate differences across multiple data sets. • Build and support Power BI models for KPI monitoring. • Coordinate purchase order issuance and changes with cross‑functional teams. • Report accruals and prepaid invoices between cost managers and finance. • Develop and maintain cash‑flow dashboards. • Compile data for project buyout analytics. • Update minor project budgets on a weekly basis. • Track construction material cost market data for buyout evaluations. • Ensure compliance with SOX control requirements as needed. • Utilize advanced Excel techniques to handle large data volumes. • Apply Power BI and other modelling software for data visualization. • Communicate complex technical information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders. • Leverage construction management software and industry‑specific regulations.

What You Bring
The position requires strong Excel skills for large‑data analysis, experience with Power BI and other modelling platforms, and excellent analytical, problem‑solving, written and verbal communication abilities. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field, possess proven data‑analysis experience in construction or engineering, and be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment. • Work independently and collaboratively, setting and meeting clear expectations. • Hold a relevant degree and professional certifications in data analysis.
