About the Role
A Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste‑removal services for customers. The driver ensures the vehicle complies with the company’s safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) so defects are repaired promptly. The role includes thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls, followed by reporting any safety issues. Drivers follow route sheets and maps, lift and load refuse using manual or automatic controls, operate the compactor, and dispose of collected material at designated facilities.

What You Bring
Professional interaction with customers, dispatchers and coworkers is essential; drivers must service routes efficiently, tag unsatisfactory containers, monitor waste for prohibited items, and clean accidental spills in accordance with safety policies. They also keep the vehicle clean, remove waste from the packer blade and truck body, and complete required productivity sheets and other reports. Successful candidates demonstrate strong customer‑service skills, effective time management, reliable follow‑through, and a commitment to safety and company policies. They take pride in their work, act with honesty and trustworthiness, and consistently meet productivity standards. The minimum qualification is a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brakes endorsement.
