About the Role
The Non‑CDL Driver position at Republic Services involves safely operating a vehicle and completing daily tasks while ensuring the vehicle meets the company’s safety standards. Drivers must perform pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, adhere to state and federal regulations, and submit daily Vehicle Condition Reports to address any defects promptly. • Conduct complete pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, reporting safety issues. • Safely operate a truck along assigned routes, read route sheets, and service customers. • Load and dump containers using manual or automatic controls per safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members to complete work timely. • Clean areas around accidental waste spills in accordance with safety standards. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime. • Complete required paperwork, including Vehicle Condition Reports and other reports. • Follow all safety policies, participate in the ReSOP program, and operate additional equipment as needed. • Manage time efficiently to complete responsibilities safely. • Adhere to company policies and promote safety standards without taking undue risks. • Participate in health‑care and dependent‑care spending accounts.
