About the Role

Key duties include assisting with concrete work, handling various construction tasks, and ensuring the work area remains clean and organized. • Identify tools needed for each task. • Recognize safety risks and implement required precautions. • Assist in mixing, pouring, and smoothing freshly poured concrete structures. • Assist in dismantling prefabricated and wooden forms. • Perform miscellaneous construction processes as needed. • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work areas. • Work full schedule with the possibility of overtime. • Follow all safety, company, and site rules and regulations. • Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lb. • Work at heights, climb ladders or stairways, and use fall protection when needed. • Wear PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, respirator, hi‑vis vest, leather gloves, and steel‑toed boots.

What You Bring

This position requires experience working with industrial concrete, the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities, and the ability to meet all physical and safety requirements. Applicants must have the required tools and reliable transportation. Candidates must demonstrate journeyman‑level expertise in concrete selection, mixing, pouring, and finishing, understand basic building techniques and form construction, and be prepared to work the full schedule—including overtime—while complying with all safety and company regulations. Preferred candidates include current or former Zachry employees, those with formal technical education, and individuals experienced in carpentry, concrete, and rebar. The role demands extensive physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, and working in all weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment. • Minimum two years of industrial concrete experience. • Possess journeyman‑level knowledge of concrete selection, mixing, pouring, and finishing. • Understand materials, tools, and processes for basic building techniques and form construction. • Have reliable transportation and personal tools required for the job.
