About the Role

The Field Ops Lead serves as the on‑site field leader for emergency response and environmental remediation projects, acting as the primary point of contact at client sites. This role ensures that work scopes are met while adhering to health, safety, and regulatory standards, and it oversees the health and safety of all field activities performed by the company and its subcontractors. Key duties include assisting the project manager with scope development, safety requirements, waste characterization, shipping, profiling, and documentation, as well as supervising field work to guarantee safe and compliant execution. The Lead works with purchasing agents to obtain pricing, develop cost budgets, and manage purchase orders, while also compiling and organizing essential paperwork such as health‑and‑safety meeting records, vendor receipts, manifests, air‑monitoring data, and calibration logs. Coordination of subcontractor scheduling, verification of training certifications, and maintenance of equipment and company‑owned vehicles are also critical responsibilities. • Assist the project manager with scope development, safety requirements, waste characterization, shipping, profiling, and documentation. • Supervise field work to ensure tasks are performed safely, compliantly, and according to scope. • Collaborate with purchasing agents to obtain pricing, develop cost budgets, and create/track purchase orders. • Compile and organize job paperwork, including health and safety meeting records, vendor receipts, manifests, air‑monitoring data, and calibration logs. • Coordinate subcontractor scheduling, obtain submittals, verify training certifications, and ensure health‑safety plans are in place. • Perform regular equipment maintenance, develop a maintenance schedule, and operate company‑owned vehicles. • Implement technical solutions to improve equipment operating capabilities. • Provide timely performance feedback to leaders and cover worker absences as needed.

What You Bring

Preferred qualifications emphasize knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, purchasing, and DOT training, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Minimum requirements include at least two years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and potentially a special license or certificate such as a CDL.
