About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Roles include Commercial Drivers who handle container pick‑ups, Residential Drivers who collect household waste, and Roll‑off Drivers who load and move large open‑top containers, all requiring skilled backing maneuvers in varied environments. Key duties involve operating vehicles in compliance with Waste Management safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws, conducting pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and documenting checks via the Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. Drivers must report unsafe situations, incidents, or service interruptions, attend required training, collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency, and ensure each site is left clean after dumping. • Operate vehicles following Waste Management Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend all required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Work with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and identify best practices. • Safely load, transport, and dump waste or recyclable containers, leaving the site clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed. • Meet physical demands including lifting, backing maneuvers, standing, and working in confined or high‑traffic environments.

What You Bring

Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a CDL‑qualified vehicle or equivalent military driving within the past seven years, be at least 18 years old, and possess a valid Class A or B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and candidates must be legally eligible to work in the country. The position demands physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, backing, and working in tight or high‑traffic environments, and offers a base pay range of $22‑$30 per hour. • Hold a valid CDL Class A or B with an air‑brake endorsement (or equivalent recent military driving experience) and be at least 18 years old. • Possess legal work eligibility and preferably a high school diploma or GED.
