About the Role
In this role you will support design and drafting activities, prepare technical documentation, perform electrical calculations, and conduct on‑site observations and inspections. You will also review shop drawings, respond to contractor inquiries, commission systems, and travel for business as needed, while committing to ongoing professional development. • Provide design and drafting support to Electrical Engineers and Project Managers for multidisciplinary projects. • Prepare reports, specifications, and project memos. • Perform electrical calculations such as voltage drop, load calculations, short‑circuit analysis, and arc‑flash studies. • Conduct on‑site electrical observations and inspections during construction. • Review shop drawings and respond to contractor requests for information. • Commission on‑site electrical systems. • Travel for business as required. • Design and draft electrical systems hands‑on.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2014+ and Revit BIM, knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, and hands‑on electrical system design experience are essential; Microstation experience is a plus. • Hold an Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma and be a Certified Engineering Technologist (or eligible within six months). • Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills. • Possess 2–3 years of relevant experience (less may be considered). • Use AutoCAD 2014+ and Revit BIM tools; knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code; Microstation experience is a plus.
