Senior Bid Manager

About the Role

The Senior Bid Manager will shape client engagement strategies, build long‑term relationships, and anticipate client needs through proactive market outreach. They will identify emerging markets, support vertical integration, and contribute to long‑term business strategy. The role also leads the full bid lifecycle, establishes best‑practice frameworks, mentors multidisciplinary teams, and ensures governance compliance. Commercial modelling, risk analysis, contract negotiation and coordination of technical, engineering and third‑party deliverables are core responsibilities, as is managing post‑bid activities such as project defenses and continuous improvement. • Develop and refine client engagement strategies and build long‑term relationships. • Identify emerging market opportunities and support vertical integration business strategies. • Lead the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle, establishing best‑practice frameworks and mentoring multidisciplinary teams. • Prepare governance documents, manage approval workflows, and ensure compliance with executive stakeholders. • Integrate commercial modelling, conduct risk analysis, and negotiate consultant and partner agreements. • Coordinate technical, engineering, operations, commissioning and risk teams while managing third‑party deliverables. • Lead post‑bid activities including project defenses, lessons learned documentation, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strong commercial acumen, technical understanding and high‑level influencing to deliver competitive proposals for major infrastructure and water projects across Australia and Spain. Candidates should hold an engineering, economics or business administration degree, with a master’s preferred, and have 10–20 years of experience managing infrastructure tenders. Required competencies include team coordination, project management, executive communication, and deep knowledge of public procurement, bid structuring and tender budget control. • Hold an engineering, economics or business administration degree (master’s preferred) with 10‑20 years of infrastructure tender experience. • Demonstrate expertise in public procurement processes, bid structuring and tender budget control. • Exhibit strong executive communication and team coordination skills.
