What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a talented Safety Specialist for an onsite position near San Diego, CA. The role involves overseeing safety across construction projects, ensuring policies are adhered to, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Required qualifications are U.S. citizenship, at least three years of construction or general‑industry safety experience, OSHA 30‑hour certification, strong knowledge of OSHA and relevant local, state, and federal regulations, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and solid problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Preferred qualifications include professional certifications such as GSP or ASP and competent‑person designations in lockout/tagout, scaffolding, fall protection, and excavation. Physical requirements involve the ability to sit or stand for long periods, work dayshift or Saturdays, operate outdoors in all weather, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. • No security clearance is required for this role • Specific required PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses, safety‑toed boots, gloves, and high‑visibility vest
