About the Role
The Account Executive is responsible for identifying leads, prospecting, and selling the full suite of Republic Services products—including municipal solid waste containers, recycling containers, electronic and universal recycling—within an assigned geographic area. The role involves meeting regularly with prospective clients, delivering sales presentations, and following up with key decision makers to close sales. Success is measured by meeting and exceeding monthly revenue targets. • Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to exceed monthly revenue targets. • Follow up on leads within 2 hours, create follow‑up tasks in Salesforce, and document all activities daily. • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, follow up with decision makers, and close sales. • Conduct scheduled phone blocks and cold‑call prospecting to set appointments with decision makers. • Monitor market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate changing customer needs. • Offer additional services, including total waste stream management solutions, to grow profitable revenue. • Complete customer service agreements, reports, and paperwork promptly in accordance with company policy. • Meet regularly with Sales Manager to review retention, progress versus goals, and key customer relationships. • Represent the company at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, community activities, and other sponsored events.

What You Bring
• Minimum 2 years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role. • Valid driver’s license. • Preferred: experience in the waste or service industry.
