About the Role

The Production Manager oversees fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for optimizing production efficiency, coaching team members, and collaborating across departments to meet customer and company objectives. The position seeks a dynamic, motivated leader focused on execution, problem‑solving, and team motivation. • Lead and manage assigned production teams, including supervisors, leads, and skilled trades, to achieve production goals. • Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to fabrication plans, schedules, and quality requirements. • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to align resources with production priorities and deadlines. • Provide active feedback on safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and operational impact. • Coach, train, and mentor team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment by upholding 5S standards and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. • Enforce all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including production output, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap/rework rates, and safety incidents. • Maintain accurate documentation for all assigned projects and areas. • Partner with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve issues and improve processes. • Perform standing, walking, bending, and lift up to 75 lb as needed. • Contribute to building bridges that connect tomorrow’s communities.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated leadership with a positive, solutions-focused attitude. • Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing or structural steel fabrication, focusing on throughput and efficiency optimization. • Strong communication, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production schedules. • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies. • Work in a steel fabrication shop with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment; wear required PPE at all times.
