About the Role

The role is a part‑time Electrical Apprentice responsible for medium‑voltage preventative maintenance, responding to service calls, and collaborating with construction and operations teams to commission and close out projects. The apprentice will also ensure contractual obligations are met for solar operations and maintenance services. Project sites are located in north/northwest Minnesota, with a work schedule of 26‑30 hours per week. • Perform medium‑voltage inspections, including GOAB, recloser, and transformer DGA pulls under MV/HV conditions. • Identify safety hazards and follow safety guidelines to protect yourself, coworkers, and the public. • Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings, applying knowledge under Lead Electrician supervision. • Complete written and electronic records such as work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, and material requests. • Repair, test, troubleshoot, install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment (panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, SCADA). • Supervise and train apprentice electricians and coworkers on safe tool use and maintenance procedures.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Two years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experience with repair, inspection, testing, installation, or maintenance of related equipment. • Knowledge of AC and DC voltage/current relationships; Solar PV knowledge is a plus. • Valid driver’s license in good standing. • Ability to complete required training and testing. • Physical ability to lift, climb, and work on ladders for extended periods. • OSHA training and certification preferred. • Willingness to travel and provide on‑call support as needed.

The anticipated hourly rate ranges from $23.07 to $33.89, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, with potential eligibility for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity.
