What You Bring

The Civil and Structural team in Ireland is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to work on power plants, HV substation/HVDC converter stations and HV cable projects. The role offers a diverse portfolio and clear pathways for career advancement within the division. Candidates must possess advanced structural engineering knowledge, be proficient with analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) and BIM, and demonstrate strong project leadership, proposal writing, cost estimation and FEED experience. They should excel in multidisciplinary collaboration, conflict resolution, detailed drawing preparation, structural assessments and have excellent communication and leadership skills. Relevant structural and energy‑project experience, together with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (PE licence advantageous), are required. • Advanced structural engineering knowledge (load capacity, material properties, design codes) • Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, etc.) • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) • Accurate cost estimation and proposal development • Effective resolution of design conflicts • Clear verbal and written communication of technical information • Relevant structural engineering experience • Energy‑project experience (advantageous) • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering • Professional Engineer (PE) licence (advantageous)
