About the Role
• Manage overall financial health of projects. • Lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and schedules. • Oversee vendor procurement and bid/award phases for major subs and suppliers. • Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections. • Allocate project estimates in the financial system, assign cost codes, and approve invoices. • Provide financials and billings to accounting and generate monthly owner billings. • Manage subcontracts and suppliers, overseeing budgets and trade partner selections. • Handle billings, contract management, and change orders. • Supervise and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, and give feedback.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. Postings typically remain open a minimum of five days and an average of forty‑four days. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience. • Minimum six years of relevant experience on complex projects. • Detail‑oriented with ability to organize and manage multiple tasks. • Basic understanding of construction law and standard business practices. • Experience in commercial construction, renewable energy, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies preferred. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tools, and web applications. • Strong professional attitude, customer service skills, and ability to interpret Mortenson policies; valid driver’s license.
