About the Role
The Driver/Operator safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on assigned transfer routes. Responsibilities include performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, completing Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and ensuring the vehicle complies with OSHA, DOT, and company standards. Key duties involve dumping containers, keeping customer sites clean, positioning containers correctly, and communicating any unsafe situations, incidents, or customer requests to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. Drivers follow route assignments, assist fellow drivers when directed, and submit required documentation and customer tickets at the end of each route. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports. • Safely operate a heavy‑duty truck, dump containers, and keep customer sites clean. • Communicate issues, incidents, and customer requests to Dispatch or Operations Manager. • Follow assigned routes, report incidents, and assist fellow drivers as directed.
