About the Role

In this role, you will support the Planning and Development team across all project phases, from pre‑construction through close‑out, assisting with coordination, budgeting, documentation, and stakeholder communication. • Assist in coordinating and overseeing pre‑construction, project development, bid/award, and close‑out phases. • Validate existing site conditions with the Planning and Development Project Manager to define project scope. • Draft concept drawings to visualize project scope. • Review design team feedback and propose recommendations to the Planning and Development Project Manager. • Prepare status and progress reports for management. • Liaise with public agencies and utilities to meet federal and state requirements and obtain timely approvals. • Monitor project budgets with the PDPM to ensure accurate financial tracking. • Track project status, planning, design, and construction progress to keep scope within approved definitions. • Support contract, bid, and procurement planning activities. • Develop and improve project/program policy guidelines and procedures. • Recommend new developments and strategies to achieve program objectives. • Estimate building costs and change orders with technical personnel. • Maintain facility inventory maps using AutoCAD.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of full‑time professional experience in project or construction management, preferably in educational or public‑agency environments, and a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management (or equivalent experience). A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential can substitute for the degree requirement. Preferred qualifications include proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit (and Enscape), ArcGIS, and strong report‑writing abilities. Applicants should provide an updated resume, any certifications or licenses, three to four professional references, and a project list that includes values, dates, and the companies involved. • Minimum five years of full‑time professional experience in project or construction management, preferably in educational facilities or public agencies. • Experience with safety construction protocols, Cal OSHA requirements, and environmental procedures. • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience; CCM credential acceptable. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit/Enscape, ArcGIS, and strong report‑writing skills.
