About the Role
The Technical Director – MEP (HVAC Focus) will provide strategic technical direction across all MEP disciplines, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems, and will bring deep experience from large‑scale building projects and design‑consultancy firms. The role reports to senior management, represents the organization to regional clients, and guides complex technical decisions. • Oversee and coordinate engineering production activities for the operating unit. • Make authoritative decisions and recommendations on complex technical matters. • Act as a trusted subject‑matter expert to regional clients and senior management. • Resolve disputes and negotiate critical issues effectively. • Champion technical quality in HVAC and MEP disciplines across all projects. • Define guidance, standards, and best practices for mechanical systems. • Ensure project delivery complies with client expectations and requirements. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve high‑quality outcomes. • Mentor, upskill, and develop capability within the mechanical engineering domain. • Develop standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

What You Bring
The role demands extensive experience and advanced education in mechanical engineering, along with proven leadership and strong communication skills. The candidate must be capable of managing stakeholder relationships and working independently under broad objectives. • Anticipate and solve operational challenges with creative and mature judgment. • Minimum 25 years of building‑project experience in the Middle East with strong HVAC focus. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; master’s preferred. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work independently under broad objectives with minimal supervision.
