About the Role

The Finishing Foreman reports to the Site Superintendent and is responsible for managing all finishing subcontractors from the second phase through completion and handover at the Idylea Site in Stittsville. This role schedules crews, resolves on‑site issues, ensures safety and quality standards, and provides technical leadership to meet the project’s scope, timeline and Tartan’s strategic goals. • Manage and schedule all finishing subcontractors and on‑site crew activities. • Develop, implement and maintain construction and finishing plans and schedules. • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within the contracted scope. • Coordinate activities among site team, trades, suppliers and internal departments. • Resolve finishing‑related issues promptly and liaise with Customer Service on warranty matters. • Address homeowner concerns related to finishing work. • Enforce site safety program in collaboration with Site Superintendent and Health & Safety Manager. • Conduct daily inspections to maintain quality control and accurate finishes. • Verify trade progress claims, completion requests and ensure proper resources for safety and quality.

What You Bring

The position requires working on a residential construction site, often standing, walking or sitting for long periods and may involve overtime as needed. Candidates must be physically fit and able to adhere to health and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. • High school diploma required; college diploma in Architectural or Construction Management preferred. • Red Seal Carpenter certification considered an asset. • Minimum 10 years construction and finishing experience; residential experience preferred. • At least 5 years supervisory or leadership experience in residential projects. • Strong knowledge of construction methods, blueprint reading, OHS regulations and industry best practices. • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills. • Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office and Outlook; bilingual (French/English) a plus.

Benefits
