About the Role

The Assemblers position at Otis in Florence, SC (OT541) involves assembling pre- and sub‑assembly components, packing completed electrical systems, and performing ground bond testing using hand tools and PIV equipment. This first‑shift role runs from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday with occasional weekend work as needed. • Assemble mechanical components according to MTS/OFS work instructions using hand tools. • Utilize PIV equipment for crating, packing, and ground bond testing of electrical systems. • Perform basic rework on assemblies to resolve identified defects and document issues. • Drive continuous improvement through Tier 1, 5S, and shop‑floor management systems. • Participate in Level I OJT, cross‑training for Level II assembly, and daily toolbox meetings. • Report turnbacks, document assembly defects or supplier failures to Quality. • Communicate effectively to prevent defects and support cross‑training initiatives. • Train colleagues on product configurations and cell setups to promote knowledge transfer. • Work collaboratively, follow directions, and take immediate corrective action.
