About the Role

The Lead HVAC Installer will manage complete installation projects from demolition through commissioning, ensuring compliance with building codes, documenting performance metrics, and handling on‑demand service calls. They will also coordinate resources, communicate with customers about options and costs, and uphold the company’s “Baker Way” standards. • Install, retrofit, and replace residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air‑handlers, condensers, heat pumps, and related components. • Lead full‑cycle installations from demolition to commissioning, documenting subcooling, superheat, amperage, and airflow measurements. • Survey homes, draft scope‑of‑work documents, and ensure compliance with residential building codes. • Manage job resources, including equipment, materials, tools, and company van inventory. • Communicate with customers to define project needs, present options, discuss costs, and schedule work. • Perform on‑demand service calls, troubleshooting and repairing residential HVAC issues. • Train and mentor HVAC apprentices and installers, promoting teamwork and the “Baker Way” standards.

What You Bring

The position requires EPA certification, at least five years of residential HVAC installation experience, a clean driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be customer‑focused, capable of training others, and able to work flexible hours including overtime. • EPA certification required; NATE or equivalent certifications a plus. • Minimum 5 years residential HVAC installation experience; valid driver’s license with clean record; high school diploma or GED. • Ability to present positively, solve customer problems, develop and train staff, and work flexible hours.
